Carrie M. Roane |
Carrie Mendrick Roane joined the firm in 2003. She is a civil trial lawyer whose
practice consists of the defense of medical malpractice cases, as well as related
healthcare litigation. In addition, Ms. Roane practices civil litigation in
the areas of general tort and insurance defense, civil rights and constitutional
law, and professional malpractice defense. She also assists with the firm’s
appellate cases and creditor’s rights cases.
After receiving her B.A. in Philosophy from Florida State University, Ms. Roane studied law at Georgetown University and the University of Miami, where she served as a member of the Law Review. In 1999, Ms. Roane received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Roane served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge David M. Gersten of Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal, a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Administrative Law Judge Richard Stansell-Gamm of the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C., and worked with the litigation section of a large D.C. firm. She is admitted to practice before all Florida state and federal courts. She is a member of the trial lawyers and appellate sections of the Florida Bar, the litigation section of the American Bar Association, the Tallahassee Bar Association, Tallahassee Women's Lawyers, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and the William Stafford Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
